Commodity Food Program

| U. S. Department of Agriculture surplus foods are distributed to qualifying low income (150% of federal poverty guidelines) households four times each year. A typical distribution provides 40-45 pounds of food to a household and may feature items such as rice, beans, peanut butter, soup, spaghetti, canned fruits and vegetables, powdered milk, nuts, dried fruit, etc. Eligibility criteria: Proof of Blount County residency; Self-declaration of income (150% of federal poverty guidelines) |
