Donation Opportunities
Donations go a long way in helping to provide services to elderly, disabled, and low-income individuals and families at Blount County Community Action Agency. Although we receive federal, state, and local funding, we also rely on the support of individuals and groups in many of our program areas. These include:
Senior Nutrition Program
With the rising cost of food, supplies, and delivery costs, it is a challenge to keep up with the expenses associated with providing Mobile Meals to our homebound seniors. Although each recipient is provided with a suggested contribution cost according to their income, some are unable to contribute and others are assisted through the generosity of private donations.
A contribution of $60 will provide the costs of food, supplies, and travel for one mobile meals recipient for one month. All contributions of any amount are greatly appreciated. If you wish to contribute to this program, designate your donation to the Senior Nutrition Program.

Office on Aging
The Homemaker program provides valuable services to low-income, frail seniors needing extra assistance in order to remain in their homes. Those who can contribute to the costs do so according to their income. Donations are appreciated to expand these services and to supplement the costs for those who are unable to contribute. Donations are also accepted for the pet food program and for incontinence products for low-income seniors. Designate these donations to Office on Aging.
The Office on Aging also produces a comprehensive Senior Service Directory which is financed exclusively through sponsorship advertising.

Share the Warmth
This program accepts donations through the Share the Warmth program which provides energy assistance for low-income households. These donations can be made either through local utility companies (City of Alcoa, City of Maryville, and Atmos Energy) or directly to Blount County Community Action Agency. Customers of Ft. Loudoun Electric Cooperative can donate to Operation Roundup to help their neighbors in need.
